Look up a surname, clan or tartan and see what the records link to it.
Each link shows how well the sources support it and which sources they are. A surname with no recorded link is reported as having none.
Kilt Size Calculator
Turn waist, seat and height into the measurements a kiltmaker asks for.
Shows your figures in inches and centimetres and a starting range for length. It is not a size chart, and manufacturers differ.
What the tools use
Both tools run in the page and neither asks you to sign in. The Tartan Finder searches the records published on this site, so a name with no page here will not appear in its results. Where it does show a link between a surname, a clan and a tartan, it shows the evidence level for that link, graded as described in the methodology.
The kilt size calculator turns the measurements you enter into figures a kiltmaker asks for. It gives a starting point, not a made-to-measure fit, because makers use different methods.
